It is time to prioritize the well-being and education of our children above all political interests and agendas. We need to return the focus of the Alum Rock School District to the families and students of our area. I am the best candidate to make this happen.

My name is Brenda Zendejas, and I have 17 years of experience working in the Alum Rock School District as a special education paraeducator at Ben Painter, Linda Vista, Hubbard, and Ocala Middle Schools. I continue to mentor youth and young adults as the Program Manager for the Champs initiative at the San Jose Downtown Association. I collaborate with college students to teach social skills and marketing strategies to increase foot traffic for local businesses.

In addition to my professional role, I am actively involved in the community as a state delegate for the Democratic Party, a representative of the Working Families Party in the San Jose area, and a board member of LUNA (Latino United for a New America). I have also participated in my children's PTA meetings, served as the yearbook representative for Linda Vista, and been a school site council parent representative at Ben Painter and Linda Vista. Furthermore, I served as a parent representative for the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).
